SCI-FI MOVIE; ENDER'S GAME

                    




 Earth's military deceives Ender he is playing a simulation of the final war on the Formics unwittingly making him commits mass genocide and destroys the Formics home world. Enders personality is highly empathetic, in a scene from the movie he tells valentine, "In the moment when I truly understand my enemy, understand him well enough to defeat him, then in that very moment I also love him. I think it's impossible to really understand somebody, what they want, what they believe, and not love them the way they love themselves."  This scene alludes to Ender being torn up about killing off a species but Ender is able to communicate with a Formic Queen and promises to take the queen egg to an empty planet to restart Formic civilization.  



I like how the movie first introduces Formics as an alien evil species and mankind as the victim but as the story progresses its starts to paint a portrait where all things aren't black or white and explains how the Formics only came to earth because their overpopulation was bringing about the extinction of their species forcing us to see that in as much as humans are acting out of self-preservation so are the Formics making it harder to tell the bad guy at the end of the movie. Ender is a strong character who allows you to see the story from an empathetic and lens.  I greatly enjoyed the visual aspects of the movie as the producers where able to bring to life a CGI masterpiece with remarkable representations of space and topnotch special effects.

7 MOMENTS IN A SCI-FI STORY

In The gif captioned 80s graphics inspired gif, I cut out an illustration that I referenced an idea from from the costume designer of the Ender’s Game movie then I cut out the background and I cut out the PNG and I put it on the gif to show the first Formic invasion. For the trailer I cut out parts from the movie I thought compelling and I chose a sci-fi theme song that I found on YouTube. ANIMATED ROBOT

I made a short animation on the program Adobe animation also known as Flash. I started with basic shapes like circles and rectangles to make a classic Robot. As I was making the robot  I used the convert to symbol tool so every time I had to move the robot, it would move consistently. Then I created two shapes for the eyes. I made a short animation so it would move separately from the robot. To make the robot move, I placed it in different frames.  It was moving in a “stop motion” way so to  finish it and smooth, I made use of the create classic tween tool, so it would feel more natural.
