FILM POSTER OF GHOST IN THE SHELL



I made a web ready, abstract, minimal film poster for Ghost in the Shell, a Japanese animated film.


The film is set in 2029 japan, and follows Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg public- security agent.
the film intertwines haunting philosophical themes that shine light on self-identity, human  greed in relation to a technologically advanced world to startling animation that juxtaposes japan with a future scape. I found pictures and stills from the movie I felt where interesting and also a png image of circuits ion the shape of a human head. I then removed the bits of the pictures i didnt need then merged the layers while also playing around with the fill and opacity settings.

7 MOMENTS IN A SCI-FI STORY

gif book cover illustration 80's graphics inspired  gif formic homeworld at night  formic homeworld landscape formic homeworld landscape  trailer gif t o create the gifs I took scenes from the movie which I cut out on Adobe Photoshop, then I cut the movie into tiny scenes which I found interesting I then converted the video into frames using the option on PhotoShop, Then I added a text in the frames that I felt were suitable. In The gif captioned 80s graphics inspired gif, I cut out an illustration that I referenced an idea from from the costume designer of the Ender’s Game movie then I cut out the background and I cut out the PNG and I put it on the gif to show the first Formic invasion. For the trailer I cut out parts from the movie I thought compelling and I chose a sci-fi theme song that I found on YouTube. ANIMATED ROBOT

I made a short animation on the program Adobe animation also known as Flash. I started with basic shapes like circles and rectangles to make a classic Robot. As I was making the robot  I used the convert to symbol tool so every time I had to move the robot, it would move consistently. Then I created two shapes for the eyes. I made a short animation so it would move separately from the robot. To make the robot move, I placed it in different frames.  It was moving in a “stop motion” way so to  finish it and smooth, I made use of the create classic tween tool, so it would feel more natural.
