LAPLACE'S DEMON







I thought it would be interesting to create art on photoshop with a concept of mty choosing. i choose Laplace's concept because I wanted to work and create an image that didn't have as many interpretations and remakes.
 "We may regard the present state of the universe as the effect of its past and the cause of its future. An intellect which at any given moment knew all of the forces that animate nature and the mutual positions of the beings that compose it, if this intellect were vast enough to submit the data to analysis, could condense into a single formula the movement of the greatest bodies of the universe and that of the lightest atom; for such an intellect nothing could be uncertain and the future just like the past would be present before its eyes."

hopefully this quote explains the intellect and creature that is referred to as Laplace's demon.


I took a photograph of my self and pictures from NASA of space and cosmos, then I worked on Photoshop to combine these images and edit and paint them to arrive at my piece. for the background image i took The Starry Night over the Rhone at Arles. 1888, then inverted used a filter to invert the colours.

ICE CREAM PARTY

I made a poster for an ice cream themed party on photoshop. I found images that worked well with the theme I wished to convey. I started by creating a new document and because it is a flyer and will be printed, I used the CMYK color mode. I then a dded Texture to the  background by adding an icream pattern backround which I then removed the original background from and played around with the fill and opacity, I selected some of the text with quick select then applied a rainbow gradient fill. I also searched on a png website and found a nice one to use. Then I added some text to the flyer that I further developed by turning the text into a clip mask and cutting out the words from the images of icream cones in a pattern. I made  use of bright pastel colours and I was pleased with my results
